Reports and Reviews

On April 25, 2000, former Conflict of Interest Commissioner Robert Stanbury was requested to provide recommendations for new legislation to apply to Members of the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut. His resulting report, For A Culture of Integrity, was tabled in the Legislative Assembly on May 22, 2001. This report constituted the basis for Nunavut's new Integrity Act.

On May 29, 2007, the first five-year review of the Act was tabled in the Legislative Assembly.

The Integrity Commissioner is required to submit an annual report under the Integrity Act to the Legislative Assembly. The Integrity Commissioner may also, from time to time, submit reports on other matters.

Sections 36 to 38 of the Integrity Act establish the process by which the Integrity Commissioner may be requested to undertake a review.
